In 2020, I learned about Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and—after a brief period of denial—everything made sense for the first time.
I had spent years unable to account for the paradoxes that shape who I am:
a prize-winning Harvard & Yale graduate, with no desire for a “normal” career;
an accomplished singer, once beset by intractable vocal dysfunction;
a committed Christian, drawn to interfaith ministry outside the Church;
one who loves all people, yet questions all systems.
